Spiritual Simplicity. Total Transparency.

Honest answers to common questions from AA fellows, homegroups, and trusted servants.

Is this affiliated with AA?

No. GroupConscience is an independent project created by sober fellows who believe in service and Tradition Two. It's not affiliated with or endorsed by Alcoholics Anonymous.

Does this tool break any of the Traditions?

We don't believe so. GroupConscience is a service tool, not a governance platform or a replacement for meetings. It exists to support participation and spiritual unity — not to profit, promote personalities, or disrupt AA's existing structure.

Is my anonymity protected?

Always. We don't collect personal data. We never ask for names or email addresses. All activity is pseudonymous and private to your group's trusted servants. Nothing is indexed or made public.

Do I need an account to participate?

No personal account is needed. We use pseudonymous accounts via QR codes or private links. Fellows can join a group's conscience space anonymously and contribute securely — no sign-ups, no tracking, no passwords.

How do I use it with my homegroup?

Create a private space for your group in seconds. Post motions, topics, or service issues — and allow fellows to participate even if they miss the business meeting. Trusted servants can download summaries and share updates easily.

What about motions from district or area?

This is perfect for that. If you're a GSR or DCM, you can share upcoming motions with your group, collect conscience anonymously, and bring clean summaries to your service meeting. No more chasing fellows or guessing the group's will.

What does it cost?

The core experience is free forever. You'll never need to pay to participate. We may offer optional features (like conscience history, alerts, or role-based training) for a small subscription — but that will never interfere with AA's spiritual principles or your group's access.

Who built this?

Sober fellows in service. GroupConscience was created by people who've served as GSRs, Intergroup reps, secretaries, and chairs — and who also happen to work in technology. We built what we wish we had in our own groups.

What happens to our group's data?

It belongs to the group, and no one else. Only trusted servants in your group can see your group's input and history. We don't sell, share, or use your data for anything outside the group's own use. Delete your group space at any time and it's gone.

Can I share this with others in AA?

Please do — quietly and spiritually. Feel free to share the site, flyer, or QR code with other fellows or groups. Just remember: this is a service tool, not a promotion or platform. Use it with humility, and always as a tool to help carry the message of unity.
